  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed (optional)
  • Pinch of ground black pepper (helps enhance turmeric absorption)
  • 1 cup ice cubes (if using fresh fruit)

Optional Toppings

  • Fresh mango cubes
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Orange slices
  • Toasted coconut flakes
  • Chia seeds
  • Hemp hearts
  • Granola
  • Fresh mint leaves

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Citrus juicer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Microplane or grater (for fresh ginger)
  • Spatula
  • Serving glasses

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fruit

Peel and slice the banana, then freeze it for at least 2 hours or overnight for the creamiest texture.

If using fresh mango or pineapple, cut them into chunks and freeze before blending, or add ice cubes to keep the smoothie cold.

Juice the oranges if using fresh oranges.

Step 2: Add the Ingredients

Place the following ingredients into a high-speed blender:

  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen pineapple
  • Frozen banana
  • Orange juice
  • Coconut milk or almond milk
  • Greek yogurt (if using)
  • Ground turmeric
  • Fresh grated ginger
  • Lemon juice
  • Honey or maple syrup (if using)
  • Chia seeds or flaxseed (optional)
  • Pinch of black pepper

Add the ice cubes if using fresh fruit.

Step 3: Blend

Blend on high speed for 60–90 seconds, or until the smoothie is thick, creamy, and completely smooth.

If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of orange juice or milk.

If it’s too thin, blend in a few extra frozen fruit chunks.

Step 4: Taste and Adjust

Taste the smoothie.

Add more honey for sweetness, more orange juice for brightness, or an extra pinch of turmeric if you prefer a stronger earthy flavor.

Blend again briefly until combined.

Step 5: Serve

Pour the smoothie evenly into two chilled glasses.

Step 6: Garnish

Top with fresh mango, pineapple, toasted coconut, chia seeds, granola, hemp hearts, or fresh mint leaves.

Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.

Storage

This smoothie is best enjoyed immediately after blending for the freshest flavor and creamiest texture.

If you have leftovers, pour the smoothie into an airtight jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking, as natural separation may occur.

For longer storage, freeze the smoothie in freezer-safe containers or ice cube trays for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or blend the frozen cubes with a splash of orange juice or milk until smooth before serving.
