Instructions
Step 1: Mash the Banana
Peel the banana and place it in a large mixing bowl.
Mash thoroughly with a fork until smooth with only a few small lumps remaining.
Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
Add the following to the mashed banana:
- Almond butter or peanut butter
- Honey or maple syrup
- Vanilla extract
Stir until smooth and well combined.
Step 3: Add the Dry Ingredients
Add:
- Rolled oats
- Chia seeds
- Ground flaxseed
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg (if using)
- Salt
Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Fold in any optional mix-ins such as chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, raisins, or seeds.
Step 4: Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
This helps the oats absorb moisture and makes the mixture easier to roll.

Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture.
Roll each portion between your hands to form smooth balls.
If desired, roll each bite in shredded coconut, chopped nuts, cinnamon, or chia seeds.
Step 6: Chill Again
Place the energy bites on a parchment-lined tray.
Refrigerate for another 10–15 minutes until firm.
Step 7: Serve
Enjoy immediately or transfer the energy bites to an airtight container for easy grab-and-go snacks throughout the week.
