Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven
    Heat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray or dish with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Prepare the glaze
    In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, olive oil or butter, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  3. Season the salmon
    Place salmon fillets on the baking tray and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Apply the glaze
    Spread the brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Bake
    Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Optional broil step
    Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for extra caramelization.
  7. Serve
    Garnish with parsley or lemon slices and serve warm.
