Mango Frosé Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Freeze Time: 6 hours or overnight
Total Time: 6 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 4–6

Ingredients

For the Frosé

  • 1 bottle (750ml) rosé wine
  • 3 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Optional Garnishes

  • Fresh mango slices
  • Lime wedges
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Edible flowers
  • Sugar-rimmed glasses

Instructions

Step 1: Freeze the Rosé

Pour the rosé wine into a shallow baking dish.

Place it in the freezer for at least 6 hours or overnight.

The wine won’t freeze completely due to the alcohol content but will become slushy and icy.

Step 2: Prepare the Glasses

If desired, rim serving glasses with sugar.

Rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip it into coarse sugar.

Place the glasses in the refrigerator while preparing the drink.

Step 3: Blend the Ingredients

Add the following to a high-powered blender:

  • Frozen rosé
  • Frozen mango chunks
  • Lime juice
  • Honey or simple syrup (if using)
  • Ice cubes

Blend until smooth and thick.

If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of chilled rosé.

If it’s too thin, add more frozen mango.

Step 4: Taste and Adjust

Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed.

Riper mangoes may require little or no additional sweetener.

Step 5: Serve

Pour the Mango Frosé into chilled glasses.

Serve immediately while thick and frozen.

Step 6: Garnish

Top with:

  • Fresh mango slices
  • Lime wedges
  • Mint leaves
  • Edible flowers

Serve with a straw or cocktail spoon.

Tips for the Best Mango Frosé

Choose a Fruity Rosé

A rosé with berry and citrus notes pairs beautifully with mango.

Use Frozen Mango

Frozen mango creates a thick, creamy texture without watering down the drink.

Chill Everything

Cold ingredients help maintain the perfect slushy consistency.

Blend Just Before Serving

Frosé melts quickly, so prepare it right before enjoying.

Sweeten to Taste

The sweetness of mango varies, so adjust honey or syrup accordingly.

Variations

Strawberry Mango Frosé

Add 1 cup frozen strawberries for extra berry flavor.

Peach Mango Frosé

Blend in 1 cup frozen peaches for a tropical stone-fruit twist.

Coconut Mango Frosé

Add ¼ cup coconut cream for a creamy tropical version.

Sparkling Mango Frosé

Top with sparkling rosé for extra fizz.

Frozen Mango Mocktail

Replace the rosé with white grape juice or sparkling water for a non-alcoholic version.

Make-Ahead Instructions

Freeze the rosé and mango separately in advance.

When ready to serve, blend everything together for the freshest texture.

Storage

Mango Frosé is best enjoyed immediately.

If needed, store in the freezer for up to 1 hour and re-blend before serving.
