Total Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
For the Latte
- 2 shots espresso (about ¼ cup), cooled
- 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups milk (whole milk, oat milk, almond milk, or your favorite milk)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup, honey, or simple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup ice cubes
Optional Toppings
- Whipped cream
- Peanut butter drizzle
- Chocolate syrup
- Crushed roasted peanuts
- Cocoa powder
- Mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1: Brew the Espresso
Prepare two shots of espresso using an espresso machine, moka pot, or strong brewed coffee.
Allow the coffee to cool slightly before using.
For an extra-cold latte, chill the espresso in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes.
Step 2: Mix the Peanut Butter Base
In a blender, combine:
- Cooled espresso
- Peanut butter
- Milk
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla extract
Blend for 20–30 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
The peanut butter should be fully incorporated with no lumps remaining.
Step 3: Prepare the Glasses
Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes.
The more ice you use, the colder and more refreshing the latte will be.
Step 4: Assemble the Latte
Pour the blended peanut butter coffee mixture evenly over the ice.
Stir gently if needed.
Step 5: Add Toppings
For a coffeehouse-style presentation, top with:
- Whipped cream
- A drizzle of melted peanut butter
- Chocolate syrup
- Crushed peanuts
These toppings are optional but add extra flavor and visual appeal.
Step 6: Serve
Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy while cold.
Tips for the Best Peanut Butter Iced Latte
Use Creamy Peanut Butter
Natural creamy peanut butter blends most smoothly into the drink.
Chill the Coffee First
Hot coffee can melt the ice too quickly and dilute the flavor.
Blend Thoroughly
Blending ensures the peanut butter fully emulsifies with the milk and coffee.
Adjust Sweetness
Add more or less maple syrup depending on your taste preferences.
Make It Extra Rich
Use whole milk or add a splash of heavy cream for a creamier texture.
