Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 2 cups ripe Mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz orange liqueur (such as triple sec)
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 1–1½ cups ice
  • Tajín or salt for the rim
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glasses
    • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass.
    • Dip the rim into salt or Tajín.
  2. Blend the drink
    • Add mango chunks, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, sweetener, and ice to a blender.
    • Blend until smooth and slushy.
  3. Taste and adjust
    • Add more lime juice for tartness or more sweetener if the mangoes are not very sweet.
  4. Serve
    • Pour into prepared glasses.
    • Garnish with lime wedges or mango slices.

Tips

  • Use frozen mango for a thicker frozen margarita without watering it down.
  • For a spicy version: Add a slice of jalapeño while blending.
  • Want it lighter? Add a splash of sparkling water after blending.
  • Mocktail option: Replace tequila and orange liqueur with orange juice and sparkling water.
  • Best tequila choice: Silver/blanco tequila gives the freshest flavor.
  • Extra tropical flavor: Add pineapple chunks or coconut cream.

Serve immediately while cold and frosty.
