Ingredients

For the Mimosa

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 2 oz vanilla vodka or whipped cream vodka (optional)
  • 4 oz strawberry puree or strawberry juice
  • 1 bottle chilled champagne or sparkling wine
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or half-and-half
  • Ice cubes (optional)

For Garnish

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Whipped cream
  • Crushed shortbread cookies or graham crackers
  • Sugar for rim (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries
  • In a small bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar.
  • Let sit for 10–15 minutes until juicy.
  1. Rim the Glass (Optional)
  • Dip champagne flute rims in strawberry juice or water.
  • Coat with sugar or crushed cookie crumbs.
  1. Add Strawberry Base
  • Spoon a little strawberry mixture or puree into each glass.
  1. Add Cream Flavor
  • Pour in heavy cream and vodka if using.
  1. Top with Champagne
  • Slowly pour chilled champagne or sparkling wine into the glass.
  1. Garnish
  • Top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries if desired.
