Ingredients
For the Pudding Layer
- 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
For the Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup (50g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Whipped Layer
- 12 oz (340g) whipped topping, thawed
For the Cookie “Dirt”
- 1 package (14 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

Instructions
Step 1: Make the Chocolate Pudding
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk.
- Continue whisking for about 2 minutes until smooth.
- Place in the refrigerator while preparing the remaining layers.
Step 2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Beat for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Fold in the Whipped Topping
- Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.
- Mix until fully combined and smooth.
Step 4: Combine the Layers
- Fold the prepared chocolate pudding into the cream cheese mixture.
- Stir gently until completely blended and creamy.
Step 5: Assemble the Dirt Pudding
- Spread a layer of crushed cookies into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish or trifle bowl.
- Add half of the pudding mixture.
- Sprinkle another layer of cookie crumbs.
- Add the remaining pudding mixture.
- Finish with a generous layer of crushed cookies on top.
Step 6: Chill
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Step 7: Decorate and Serve
- Before serving, top with gummy worms, chocolate shavings, or mini chocolate chips.
- Scoop into bowls and enjoy!
