  • Pinch of salt

For Assembly

  • 4 burger buns, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Dill pickle slices
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional)
  • Red onion chunks (optional)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Meat

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, egg, and breadcrumbs.

Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meat juicy.

Step 2: Shape the Meatballs

Roll the beef mixture into 16–20 evenly sized meatballs.

Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3: Cook the Meatballs

Oven Method

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Bake the meatballs for 15–18 minutes until fully cooked and browned.

Grill Method

Grill over medium-high heat for about 10–12 minutes, turning frequently until cooked through.

Internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).

Step 4: Make the Garlic Butter

While the meatballs cook, melt the butter in a small saucepan.

Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in parsley, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.

Remove from heat.

Step 5: Toast the Bun Cubes

Brush the bun cubes lightly with garlic butter.

Toast them in a skillet, oven, or on the grill until lightly golden and crisp.

Step 6: Assemble the Skewers

Thread onto each skewer:

  • Toasted bun cube
  • Beef meatball
  • Cheddar cheese cube
  • Pickle slice
  • Another meatball
  • Onion chunk
  • Bun cube
  • Cherry tomato (optional)

Repeat until all ingredients are used.

Step 7: Finish with Garlic Butter

Brush the assembled skewers generously with the remaining warm garlic butter.

If desired, place the skewers back on the grill or under the broiler for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese begins to soften.
