🧾 Ingredients (2–3 servings)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally)
- Salt & black pepper
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
- Fresh basil or parsley (optional)
🔪 Instructions
1. Prep the chicken
- Pound chicken to even thickness (about ½ inch).
- Season with salt and pepper.
2. Set up breading station
- Bowl 1: flour
- Bowl 2: beaten eggs
- Bowl 3: breadcrumbs + Parmesan + garlic powder + Italian seasoning
3. Bread the chicken
- Dredge in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumb mix.
- Press crumbs on well so they stick.
4. Air fry (first round)
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray basket and chicken.
- Cook 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and nearly cooked through.
5. Add sauce & cheese
- Spoon marinara over each piece.
- Top with mozzarella.
6. Air fry again
- Cook 3–5 more minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
