🧾 Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)

🔪 Instructions

1. Prep the chicken

  • Pound chicken to even thickness (about ½ inch).
  • Season with salt and pepper.

2. Set up breading station

  • Bowl 1: flour
  • Bowl 2: beaten eggs
  • Bowl 3: breadcrumbs + Parmesan + garlic powder + Italian seasoning

3. Bread the chicken

  • Dredge in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumb mix.
  • Press crumbs on well so they stick.

4. Air fry (first round)

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly spray basket and chicken.
  • Cook 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and nearly cooked through.

5. Add sauce & cheese

  • Spoon marinara over each piece.
  • Top with mozzarella.

6. Air fry again

  • Cook 3–5 more minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.

🔥 Tips for best results

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket—cook in batches if needed.
  • Panko breadcrumbs = crispier texture than regular.
  • If your chicken is thick, add a couple extra minutes before topping.
