Ingredients
For the Cake
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups fresh strawberries, chopped

- 2–3 tablespoons strawberry puree or milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Grease and flour a loaf pan or bundt pan.
2. Prepare the Strawberries
- Wash, dry, and chop strawberries.
- Toss them with 1 tablespoon flour to help prevent sinking.
3. Cream Butter and Sugar
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–5 minutes).
4. Add Eggs
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Mix Dry Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
6. Combine Wet and Dry
- Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
7. Fold in Strawberries
- Gently fold the strawberries into the batter.
8. Bake
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 60–75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Cool
- Let cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Add Glaze (Optional)
- Mix glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle over cooled cake.
