Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 cup milk (dairy or your favorite plant-based milk)
- ½ cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup ice cubes (omit if using frozen strawberries)
Optional Add-Ins
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- ½ cup baby spinach
- ¼ cup rolled oats
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Wash and hull the strawberries if using fresh berries. Peel the banana and slice it into chunks for easier blending.
Step 2: Add Ingredients to the Blender
Place the strawberries, banana, milk, Greek yogurt, honey (if using), vanilla extract, and ice cubes into a high-speed blender.
Add any optional ingredients such as chia seeds, protein powder, spinach, or nut butter if desired.
Step 3: Blend
Blend on high speed for 45–60 seconds, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy.
If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk until it reaches your desired consistency.
If it’s too thin, blend in a few more frozen strawberries or a handful of ice.
Step 4: Taste and Adjust
Taste the smoothie and add more honey or maple syrup if you’d like it sweeter.
Blend for another 10–15 seconds if you make any adjustments.
Step 5: Serve
Pour the smoothie into chilled glasses.
Garnish with fresh strawberry slices, banana slices, or a sprinkle of chia seeds if desired.
Serve immediately while cold.
