Ingredients

For the Sangria

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • ΒΌ cup honey
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda (added just before serving)
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fruit

Wash the Honeycrisp apples, orange, and lemon thoroughly.

Core the apples and slice them into thin wedges. Slice the orange and lemon into thin rounds, removing any seeds.


Step 2: Mix the Sangria

In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, honey, and vanilla extract.

Stir until the honey has completely dissolved.

Add the sliced apples, orange, lemon, and cinnamon stick.

Stir gently to combine.


Step 3: Chill

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the fruit to infuse the sangria with fresh, fruity flavor.


Step 4: Finish Before Serving

Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water or club soda for a refreshing fizz.

Add the ice cubes and stir gently.
